Overview

If you are expecting important messages (or otherwise) that may require an immediate response while you are unable to check your mail, you can schedule a reply to be sent automatically to any message arriving in your account. This is also known as an "automatic reply."

Instructions

  1. Log into UGAMail
  2. Click on "the gear" in the upper-right corner
  3. Select Options
  4. You will be taken to a new screen
  5. On the left side, click on Automatic Replies.
  6. Change the radio button to Send Automatic Replies
    • You may either allow the vacation message to proceed normally, or set a time period for the automatic reply to occur. You may even choose what groups of individuals will receive an automatic reply--even choosing custom messages based on this selection.
  7. Enter the message you wish individuals to receive in the text box.
  8. Click Save at the bottom of the page. Your vacation message will begin immediately, unless you have set a specific time period.
    • To disable this auto-reply, repeat up to step 5, and choose Don't Send Automatic Replies
