Below are some instructions on how to connect your device to the eduroam network.  The instructions below assume you are affiliated with the University of Georgia.  If you are visiting from another eduroam participating school, you will need to log in with your home institution login credentials.

Step-by-step guide

To access eduroam, you must be on campus and within range of a wireless access point.

On a mobile device, go to your device's settings and click on Wifi or associated title for wireless networks. Your device will scan for all available wireless networks within range. 
If you see eduroam listed, click on eduroam.

  1. Go to the "Settings" app.

  2. Tap "Connections".

  3. eduroam should be an available network. Tap on it.

  4. Next, it will ask you to configure the network:
    1. Enter your MyID with like your email address in the "Identity" field. e.g.
    2. Enter your MyID password in the "Password" field.
    3. Ensure EAP method is on PEAP.
    4. Then tap "CA certificate".

  5. Select "Don't Validate".  Note: On Pixel phones or on Android OS 11, you may not be able continue without entering further information. If so, please follow step 5a.

    1. You may be asked to enter the Domain information to continue.  Enter "" into the field.
  6. Then Tap "Advanced".

  7. Tap "Phase 2 authentication".

  8. Select "MSCHAPV2". Then tap "Save"

  9. Then tap "Connect" and you should be connected to eduroam

  1. Go to the Home screen on your iPod Touch or iPhone. Find and tap on Settings app.

  2. Once in Settings, look at the very top for "Wi-Fi" and tap on it.

  3. eduroam should be an available network. Tap on it.

  4. Next, it will ask you to enter your username and password  Note: You must type your MyID followed by "" (example: on the username line. Type your MyID password for the password.  Then tap "Join
  5. After entering your credentials, it will ask you to accept the security certificate (as shown below). You can view more details about the certificate if you would like by tapping "More Details". Click "Trust" to continue.

  6. After accepting the certificate, you should now be connected to eduroam.
