This video and documentation will demonstrate how an individual can set up message filters (entitled "Inbox Rules") to handle incoming messages and direct them to another folder, delete them, forward them, set a category, or perform several other actions.
Please keep in mind that this filters will only act on new messages that arrive in your account.
Marking a Message with a Category
Log into UGAMail
Click on the gear in the upper-right corner
On the left side, click on Inbox Rules.
A new window will appear. Under the pull-down menu When the message arrives and:, choose It was received from . . . This will open the address book.
In the address book, find the name of the individual in the Global Address List. Alternatively, type in their email address into the To: field at the bottom of this window.
Once you are done adding addresses, click "OK"
Next, select under Do the following, choose Mark the Message with a category
