At this time, in order to save files using the Microsoft Office Mobile application, you must sign up for a Microsoft Consumer account. All files are saved in the OneDrive cloud and cannot be saved directly on the device. Note that the iPhone and iPad versions of Office are separate applications and thus have different instructions.

Phones (iOS and Android) Set Up 

Step 1 
Download the "Office Mobile" app from the App Store or Google Play, then enter your UGAMail account information once you load the application. 
Once it has been downloaded, load the app. Next, Tap "Sign in". 
Step 2 
Enter your Microsoft Consumer account credentials. If prompted, choose "Microsoft Account." If you do not have a Microsoft Account (e.g. Hotmail, OneDrive, Xbox Live etc.), you may sign up here for free.

Step 3 
Enter your MyID password as the password when prompted.

Off-campus -- Use ArchPass to log in

Note: If you are off-campus, you may also be prompted to complete the login process with ArchPass. If you do not have a device enrolled in ArchPass, visit archpass.uga.edu to enroll.

Once connected, you can begin using Office on your mobile device

 

iPad set-up

The iPad version of Office applications are standalone apps. Simply download each app (Word, Excel, etc) that you wish to obtain from the App Store. You will be prompted for your UGAMail credentials (myidusername@uga.edu, MyID password). 
Step 1 
Obtain the "Microsoft (Product) for iPad" (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) from the App Store. 
Step 2 
Load the application on your iPad.

Step 3 
Tap on the Sign In icon in the upper left corner:

Step 4 
Type in your UGA email address when prompted, then tap Next.

Step 5 
Choose Organizational Account if prompted. This screen may not appear for some students.

Step 6 
Enter your full UGAMail address and password to sign in. You can choose to always remain signed in by tapping the checkmark next to "Keep me signed in."

  

Off-campus -- Use ArchPass to log in
